Derived from real-world CAD drawings provided by BLACKWING, the modelling and texturing is some of the most accurate seen in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Orbx Indie developer Marcus Nyberg, in collaboration with Jetstream Designs, designed ESSA Stockholm-Arlanda Airport. It’s the larger of Stockholm’s two airports, and is the busiest in Sweden. Arlanda is the gateway to Stockholm, ‘the capital of Scandinavia’, and is Sweden’s largest airport with over 70 airlines serving routes to over 170 destinations worldwide. Along with 26 million passengers passing through the airport each year, Arland also performs as an important cargo hub. The texture wizardry and expert modelling, and a host of new, unique GSE vehicles and can be found across the airport along with custom animated traffic adjusting for time of day and weather. And during the winter months, you can experience the Nordic chill in the air with the 3D-modelled snow banks that accumulate at the taxiway edges.
